Course Content |
Add Content
In addtion to the predefined content areas, instructor can add content areas in diffderent names.
Select a "Content Area" from within the Control Panel:
Click on the content type you'd like to add:
You can simply add Item, Folder, External link, Course Link, or Test (deploy a test) by clicking one of the following icons.

or you can select other types of content from the drop-down menu on the right hand side of the add on windows.

| Add Item
- Click Add Item icon
- Enter the content name or select a name from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the color of the name if desired.
- Enter content in the "text" window and format the text as desired.
- Attach files to the content as needed.
For example, if the content relates to a particular lecture, you can attach a file of the lecture slides.
- Determine if you want to:
-- Make the content available at this time.
-- Add offline content.
-- Track the number of views.
-- Add metadata.
-- Restrict the content visibility to certain dates.
- Click "Submit" to complete the process.

| Add Folder
If you have several items you would like to have grouped together, or organize course materials by weeks or chapters, you may want to create a folder to put them in.
For example, if you have several items regarding a course project, you could create a "Course Project" folder, and have the readings, slides, assignment details, etc. in this folder.
- Click Add Folder icon
- Enter the folder name.
- Select the color and enter a description in the text window
- Determine if you want to

make the folder visible and/or choose date restrictions (if any).
-- Add metadata.
-- Restrict the content visibility to certain dates.
- Click "Submit" to complete the process.
Once the folder is created, click on the folder to open it and then add content inside it. |

| Add External Link
If there is a website you wish the students to visit, you can opt to create an external link.
- Click Add Folder icon
- Enter the name of the link, the full URL, you may want to copy the URL from the actual Web site
- provide a brief description so that your students know what the link is.
- You can also attach files to the external link.
- Select link options:

Make it visible.
--
Launch in an external window.
--
Track the number of views.
--
Add metadata.
--
Choose date restrictions
- Click "Submit" to complete the process.
