Navigating Blackboard

Portal View

When you first login to Blackboard, you are in the Portal Screen. Use the Portal to gain access to many different areas of Blackboard learning. Below is a view of the Portal screen. It includes the following:

Tabs: allow you to navigate to different areas in Blackboard
Tool Panel: tools panel for quick access
Logout button: securely exit Blackbaord every time after you use Blackbaord
Modify Content/Modify Layout buttons: modify the content and looking and feel of your Bb page
My Announcemnts: list all possible messages posted within last 7 days
Course List: list all courses you are still having access to
My courses: Display the coruses you chosen to display.

Accessing Your Courses

By default, when you login to Blackboard, you should see your coruses listed under My Courses module in My Blackboard section.then you click the course title to open that course.

Note: If you don't see your course, you should contact your instructor as soon as possible.

End Your Blackboard Session

Closing your Internet browser will NOT end your Blackboard session.
In order to completely close your Blackboard session, you will need to click the Logout button located in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
