Policies & Registration
As with on-campus classes, online classes have the same policies and procedures regarding registration, grading, withdrawing from the class, and so forth. Most policies are described in the current college catalog, or in your instructor's syllabus. All these documents are important to your success at Bloomfield College. Please make sure you read over each document, and refer to them as needed.
Online Course Registration
The registration process for online courses is the same as for traditional face-to-face ones.
Day Student Registration
Advisors will be available, by appointment, to assist you in the course selection process. It is important to schedule an appointment with your advisor as early as possible during the registration period.
Evening Student Registration
Evening students should register courses with advisors at the Center for Adult Learning, located at 185 Liberty Street. Students should plan to meet with an advisor early to reserve a seat in class. After you have completed advising, your registration will be processed in the Registrar's Satellite Office located at the Center for Adult Learning at 185 Liberty Street.
Visiting Students Registration
Visiting students from other colleges, who wish to take courses at Bloomfield must have a letter of permission issued by the Registrar or Dean of their college. Visiting students should contact the Office of Admission (Ext. 230) for an appointment to register. The College application fee is waived as a courtesy to the sending college.
Change of Courses
All change of courses or sections must be made through the Office of the Registrar after consultation with an advisor, and in accordance with the dates listed in the academic calendar.
